We are pleased to announce to our customers that we, at Metec, have successfully completed the introduction of a new generation pipe bending technology.
It is known that during pipe bending the material is stretched and that, depending on the material’s tolerances (alloy and similar), stretching can have different results for same-size pipes. Because of this it was very risky to make different tube holes before bending because their position after bending could be very different. However, the new bending technology controls the stretchability of the material throughout the bending process and ensures that pre-cut openings are exactly where they need to be after the bending process.
